Overview

The DCP Young Explorers Photography Academy is a structured photography program designed for young individuals who wish to explore photography as a creative skill. Conducted over four weekends, this program introduces participants to the fundamentals of photography and gradually builds their ability to create strong images across different genres.

Participants begin by understanding how cameras work and how to control exposure and composition. The program then moves into practical outdoor photography sessions including nature and street photography. Studio sessions introduce participants to controlled lighting environments, followed by editing, content creation, and guidance on presenting their work.

This program is designed to develop creativity, observation skills, and confidence while making photography an engaging and enjoyable learning experience.

About The Workshop

This program follows a progressive learning structure where participants move from basic understanding to real-world application.

The first weekend focuses on building a strong foundation in camera usage and composition. The second weekend is dedicated to outdoor photography, where participants apply their learning in natural and urban environments. The third weekend introduces studio photography and content creation, while the final weekend focuses on editing, presentation, and understanding how to grow as a photographer.

Each session is designed to be practical and interactive, with continuous mentor guidance to help participants improve their photography skills.

Caesar Sengupta

Founder And Director

Dr Caesar Sengupta is a globally acclaimed Wildlife Conservation Photographer, a National Geographic acknowledged educator, freelance writer and trainer. He is a Canon India EOS Maestro, a qualified MD Medical Microbiologist and is also the Founder Director of DCP Expeditions LLP, which is India's one of the largest Wildlife, Nature and Travel Photography Community Platform, operating since 2010 and now present in 21 cities across India. He conducts regular photography workshops and field expeditions across the country. He has travelled far and wide across Indian geography and beyond. He has the timeless distinction of having a frog species discovered in 2014 named after him - The Indosylvirana caesari also known otherwise as the Maharashtra Golden Backed Frog. Through his photography, he tries to depict the untold and unseen beauties of nature.

This course is a physical one happening in Navi Mumbai. Mumbai is well connected with all cities via flights.

Week 1 – Foundations

Street photography session focusing on capturing people, moments, and urban scenes

Week 3 – Reels Making and Content Creation

Outdoor shoot focused on creating photography-based reels and visual storytelling

Week 4 – Editing and Final Presentation

9 May (Saturday)

Editing of images and reels, understanding basic post-processing

Final review, understanding how to stand out, future guidance, and certification

Do I need prior experience?

This workshop is primarily for those who have ventured well into the world of photography and are now trying to learn cinematography well. So your basic knowledge of photography and exposure control is compulsory
