Nandur Madhyameshwar Bird Sanctuary is among the most rewarding bird photography destinations in Maharashtra, particularly during the winter months when migratory waterbirds arrive at its wetlands.
The sanctuary supports an impressive diversity of birdlife, including ducks, herons, egrets, cormorants, ibises, kingfishers, waders, raptors and several other wetland and terrestrial species. December is an excellent time to explore this remarkable ecosystem, with opportunities to photograph both resident and migratory birds.

From capturing birds in flight and documenting interesting behaviour to experimenting with composition, exposure and creative perspectives, the workshop encourages participants to explore different approaches to bird photography.
An experienced DCP photography mentor will provide on-field guidance on camera settings, autofocus techniques, subject tracking, exposure management and photographic composition. The workshop also offers an opportunity to understand the advantages of lightweight camera systems, telephoto lenses and modern autofocus technologies for bird and wildlife photography. Whether you are beginning your journey into bird photography or looking to refine your existing skills, this half-day workshop promises an engaging morning of photography, observation and knowledge sharing.
