This immersive tour includes Gypsy safaris covering multiple ranges of Manas National Park with only 4 photographers per jeep, ensuring optimal shooting comfort and mentorship. The expedition also features a special visit to Kakoijana Reserve Forest, a lesser-known biodiversity hotspot famous for its healthy population of the endangered Golden Langur. The forest provides exceptional opportunities to photograph these rare primates in natural forest settings along with rich birdlife, butterflies, and other wildlife of Assam’s foothill forests.
From lush riverine forests and vast grasslands to endangered wildlife and surreal landscapes, Manas offers an unparalleled canvas for photographers. You’ll be guided throughout by a DCP Senior Masterclass Mentor, with field learnings and reviews every step of the way. The package also includes accommodation for 4 nights on twin sharing basis, all meals (veg and non-veg), airport transfers from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, and all park entry charges.

Mayuresh Hendre is an award-winning wildlife filmmaker, photographer and a naturalist from Mumbai, India. He is also a well-known name in the field of camera trapping and his passion has taken him to some of the most remote and beautiful locations in India and beyond. For several years, he has worked as a Naturalist, Photographer and Filmmaker in various parts of India, especially in North-East India, on the Brahmaputra River Landscape of Assam. He has been instrumental in developing exemplary wildlife lodges in India with first-ever camera trapping and animal photography hides in India with water hole. He is a seasoned camera trapper with expertise in DSLR Camera Trap technology on the trails of Tigers and Elephants. We are proud to have him as a Panel Expert - Wildlife Film Making and Photography.

For all outstation participants, we recommend reaching Guwahati on Day 1 before 10 am. It will take around 3 hours to reach Manas National Park which is about 147 kms from Guwahati.
Guwahati is connected with other major cities via raiways. We will be travelling by road and will have lunch on the way.

For all outstation participants, we recommend reaching Guwahati before 10 a.m. We will begin our journey to Manas National Park by road, which takes approximately 3 hours. Lunch will be arranged on the way. After reaching the resort and completing the check-in formalities, we will head out for an evening safari in the beautiful grasslands and forests of Manas National Park. This first safari offers a wonderful introduction to the landscapes and wildlife of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. After returning to the resort, enjoy tea and refreshments followed by an interaction session with the DCP mentor. We will have an early dinner and prepare for the upcoming safaris.
Wake-up call at 5 a.m. followed by tea or coffee at 5.30 a.m. We will begin our full-day safari by 6 a.m. and spend the day exploring different zones of Manas National Park. Breakfast and lunch will be served inside the park during the safari. Manas allows visitors to spend extended hours inside the forest, giving photographers and wildlife enthusiasts ample opportunities to observe and photograph its rich biodiversity, landscapes, and birdlife. We will return to the resort by evening for tea and refreshments. The evening can be spent reviewing images, discussing sightings, and interacting with the mentor for photography guidance and field learning sessions.
Another exciting day begins early with tea or coffee followed by a full-day safari in Manas National Park. We will continue exploring new areas and habitats within the reserve, increasing our chances of wildlife sightings and photographic opportunities. Breakfast and lunch will again be served inside the park during the safari. After returning to the resort in the evening, participants can relax, back up images, charge equipment, and join the group discussions with the mentor to review photographs and learn more about wildlife photography techniques and storytelling in the field.
We begin the day with an early morning safari in Manas National Park, exploring the forest during the most active hours for wildlife and bird sightings. After returning to the resort for lunch and some rest, we will later proceed towards Kakoijana Reserve Forest for an evening visit. Known for its population of the endangered Golden Langur and rich birdlife, Kakoijana offers a completely different forest experience and excellent opportunities for wildlife and habitat photography. We return to the resort by night and spend the evening sharing experiences and photographs from the expedition.
After breakfast, we will depart for Guwahati by road and are expected to reach by around 2 p.m. Participants are advised to book return flights after 2 p.m. The expedition concludes with wonderful memories and photographic experiences from Manas and Kakoijana.
