Getting Ready

Things to carry:

  • Wide angle lens
  • Tele / zoom lens for candids and portraits
  • Carry fully charged batteries for your camera / flash.
  • Carry battery charger. Carry extra pack of camera batteries.
  • Carry backup memory cards / HDD storage drives, Laptop.
  • Carrying a Tripod for the sanctuary
  • Carry a big towel / cloth to protect your gear from dust.
  • Carry a big cloth / bandanna / scarf to protect you from dust.
  • It is advisable to carry basic first aid along with you.

Itinerary

All participants are requested to reach our hotel before 12 pm. After you check-in in your rooms and freshen up, we will have a short introduction session along with some information regarding the tour followed by lunch. Relax for some time in your rooms. This is the day of Dev Deepawali, one of the holiest days in the Hindu calendar. We will start our evening session early to capture the preparation of the main event of Dev Deepawali at the ghats followed by the evening session of the beautiful ghats lit up with the color full diyas and lights.

The day starts early. We will go to the main bathing ghats today and then to the Manikarnika ghat and return via the famous lanes of old Kashi which are beautifully painted, will have our breakfast on the way. We will return by 11 am. We will have a review of the pictures by our mentor followed by lunch. We start again at 4 pm to the ghats for some more great photo opportunities.

We leave early today to witness and capture the Famous morning Ganga Arti at Assi Ghat , return we will walk around the ghats also covering the Akhada at Tulsi Ghat  and walk around the ghats till about 10am am. We will have breakfast on the way, we will leave for Ghats (or go to Kashi Vishwanath temple) and then later for Ganga Arati for some amazing photography opportunities. Later after Dinner we will have a review session.

Morning we will have a session starting early till 9am and return back to our hotel and we check out and the tour ends with the lovely memories captured from Varanasi and Dev Deepawali.
