Participants are expected to arrive in Nagpur by 8:00 to 9:00 AM. Our team will receive you at the airport or railway station, from where we begin our journey to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, a scenic 3-hour drive through the heart of Maharashtra. Upon reaching the resort, check-in and settle down before a quick orientation with your DCP photography mentor. After lunch, we head out for our first evening safari into one of the buffer zones of Tadoba. As the golden light bathes the forest, this is a great opportunity to ease into the environment and begin capturing the magic of the jungle. We return to the resort by sunset, followed by tea and an informal group discussion. Dinner is served, and we rest for the night amidst the calls of the wild.
The day begins early with a wake-up call and hot beverages. We then depart for our first morning safari inside the core zone—Mohurli, Tadoba or Kolsa—each known for its unique terrain and exceptional wildlife sightings. The crisp morning light filtering through teak and bamboo makes for dramatic wildlife frames. After the safari, we return to the resort for breakfast and downtime. Post-lunch, we embark on another thrilling evening safari in a different zone, increasing our chances of photographing the majestic tiger and other elusive wildlife species. The day ends with a mentor-led session focusing on image reviews and photography feedback, helping you refine your techniques before dinner and overnight stay.
Another early start takes us back into the heart of Tadoba’s wild terrain for a third morning safari. With new routes and fresh animal tracks, the excitement remains high. After returning and recharging with breakfast, participants get a chance to dive deeper into compositional storytelling and discuss framing strategies with the mentor. Following lunch, we head for our fourth safari of the expedition. This drive will be more focused on applying creative field techniques and completing thematic photo assignments suggested by the mentor. In the evening, a detailed session on ethical wildlife photography, post-processing guidance, and image sequencing wraps up the day. We end with dinner and conversations under the stars.
The last morning offers one final chance to capture wildlife action during our fifth and final safari. This is the moment to put all your learning to test—whether it’s fast-action burst photography, low-angle framing, or animal tracking. After the safari, we return to the resort for breakfast and check out. The return journey to Nagpur begins mid-morning, and we ensure you reach the airport or railway station by late afternoon, carrying back not just stunning images, but invaluable field experiences and sharpened skills as a wildlife photographer.
