Led by a Senior DCP photography mentor, this expedition includes 5 carefully planned gypsy safaris across Tadoba’s renowned core and buffer zones. With only 4 photographers per jeep, participants enjoy ample space, unobstructed shooting angles, and personalized guidance throughout the safari, maximizing both photographic opportunities and learning.
Whether it’s a tiger emerging from bamboo forests, a pack of dholes on the hunt, a sloth bear foraging through the undergrowth, or vibrant birdlife illuminated by the golden morning light, every safari offers exciting opportunities to create compelling wildlife images. Sangram is a skilled wildlife photographer and a hardcore nature enthusiast. He has travelled extensively across the Indian geography photographing and documenting the magnanimous beauty of the natural history of the country in his camera. His images have been appreciated and acknowledged in various photography competitions, newspapers and Exhibitions. He has a special interest Bird photography. Sangram has done his Bachelors of Architecture from University of Pune. Apart from being a skilled photographer, he is also a talented Artist and has a great hand in painting, sketching and sculpting. He is a skilled trainer, one of the DCP Explorers and is currently associated with us as a Panel Expert and Consultant, Strategy Team.

Those who are travelling by air, nearest airport is at Nagpur, which is approximately 140 km and can be covered in 3 hours by road. Innova or equivalent vehicle can be arranged for pick up and drop.

Things to carry:
Do not worry if you don’t own any advance camera / super-telephoto lens as we now have an equipment support division. Equipment is available on rental - please mail us at rentals@dcpexpeditions.com.
Our journey begins at Nagpur. You will be received at Nagpur railway station and airport by our representatives and a reserved jeep will take you to the resort. This is followed by a round of introduction and talk with our Wildlife photography expert. Enjoy your lunch and then, move out for the evening Game Safari. It is a southern tropical dry deciduous forest with Teak as predominant species. The bamboo forest defines the typical tiger territories. During our stay, we will be visiting three zones viz. Tadoba, Mohurli and Kolsa. While Kolsa is a very beautiful zone and offer excellent photographic opportunities, Mohurli zone is also known for few of the best sightings of Tadoba. We come back to the resort for Tea and refreshments by 6:30 pm. Join the group for a discussion over the dinner.
Wake up call at 5:15 am. Have your tea / coffee at the resort by 5:30 am and then proceed for the morning Game Safari which starts at 6:00 am. We will be exploring the Mohurli region again. There is a strong possibility of Tiger viewing here. Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is situated in the Mohurli hills of West Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. It is 623 km² in area, the biggest amongst all Naional Parks in Maharashtra. On north and western boundaries of the forest are hills with dense forest. To the southwest is a huge lake. Keep your cameras ready and the fingers crossed for the sighting of the king. Come back to the resort and join the lunch by 1:30 pm. We move for the Evening Safari again and come back for tea and refreshments by 6:30 pm. Join the dinner over a chat about the day’s experience.
Wake up call at 5:15 am. Have your tea / coffee at the lodge by 5:30 am and the morning game safari starts at 6:00 am. We go out for safari Tiger tracking by jeep. We come back to the resort by 11 am. By 1:30 pm we have lunch and then we depart.

Please take a note that sighting of a Tiger and / or a good photography opportunity to capture it in an ideal frame is a matter of luck. Though the possibility of sighting is high but it can never be guaranteed in the wild.
