About The Tour

The Nagzira Winter Special Tiger Photography Bootcamp has been thoughtfully designed to help photographers understand not only how to photograph wildlife but also how to anticipate animal behaviour, read the forest, and create compelling visual stories.

During the expedition, participants will spend maximum time inside Nagzira’s beautiful deciduous forests, searching for tigers while also photographing leopards, sloth bears, Indian gaur, jungle cats, wild dogs, deer, raptors, owls, and numerous woodland bird species.

The experience goes beyond tiger sightings. Every safari becomes a learning session where your mentor discusses wildlife behaviour, camera settings, exposure techniques, autofocus strategies, composition, ethical wildlife photography, and storytelling.

After sunset, participants will also experience the beauty of the winter night sky during an astro photography session from the resort. Learn the fundamentals of photographing stars, night skies, and landscapes under low-light conditions while understanding camera settings required for astrophotography.

This expedition is ideal for photographers using DSLR or mirrorless cameras irrespective of the brand.

Field Learnings

Photography expeditions with DCP are about learning directly from the field, where every safari presents unique situations that cannot be replicated in a classroom. Throughout the expedition, participants will gain practical insights into observing wildlife behaviour, anticipating animal movements, understanding light, and making quick photographic decisions in real-world conditions.

Your mentor will share valuable tips on approaching different wildlife encounters, selecting appropriate camera settings, composing impactful images, managing exposure in challenging forest environments, and making the most of every sighting. Discussions during and after the safaris will help participants understand what worked well, how photographs can be improved, and how to develop a stronger visual story through wildlife imagery.

The astro photography session introduces participants to the fundamentals of photographing the night sky, including camera setup, focusing in low light, exposure settings, and creating compelling images under the stars. Depending on weather conditions, participants will also learn techniques for capturing star trails or the Milky Way.

Beyond technical photography, this expedition encourages participants to appreciate ethical wildlife photography, responsible behaviour inside protected areas, patience in the field, and the importance of respecting nature while creating meaningful photographs.

Whether you are new to wildlife photography or an experienced photographer, the expedition offers numerous opportunities to refine your skills while experiencing one of Central India’s finest tiger habitats alongside like-minded photographers.
