Itinerary

Arrive at Ramnagar early in the morning (the overnight Ranikhet Express from Delhi to Ramnagar is an ideal option). After assembling at the designated meeting point, we begin our journey towards Dhikala via the Dhangarhi Gate. This transfer itself is a safari experience, as the route passes through some of Corbett’s most scenic forests and grasslands, offering opportunities to photograph deer, elephants, birds, and, if luck favours, even a tiger. This serves as our first gypsy safari.

After checking in at the Dhikala Forest Rest House and enjoying lunch, we head out for our second gypsy safari across the famous Chaurs, riverine habitats, and Sal forests surrounding Dhikala. These grasslands are among the finest locations in Corbett for photographing Bengal Tigers, Asian Elephants, and a wide variety of birds. In the evening, we review the day’s images over dinner.

Overnight at Dhikala Forest Rest House.

Begin the day with an early morning third gypsy safari, when the golden light and heightened wildlife activity create outstanding photographic opportunities. Corbett’s vast grasslands, Ramganga River, and dense forests offer excellent chances to photograph tigers, elephants, deer, raptors, kingfishers, and many other species.

After breakfast and some relaxation at the forest rest house, we venture out again for our fourth gypsy safari during the afternoon. Your Senior DCP Photography Mentor will provide continuous guidance on camera settings, autofocus techniques, composition, wildlife behaviour, and storytelling throughout the day.

The evening concludes with an image review session and discussion before dinner.

Overnight at Dhikala Forest Rest House.

Our final morning begins with the fifth gypsy safari as we gradually make our way out of the Dhikala zone towards Dhangarhi Gate. This departure drive often produces memorable wildlife sightings and provides one final opportunity to photograph Corbett’s spectacular landscapes, Bengal Tigers, Asian Elephants, and rich birdlife.

After exiting the park, we continue to Ramnagar, where the expedition concludes and participants can proceed with their onward journey.
