This region is a treasure trove of life, boasting over 330 species of butterflies (11% endemic), 156 species of reptiles (62% endemic), and 135 species of amphibians (75% endemic). During these three immersive days, participants will experience the grandeur of the Central Western Ghats in peak monsoon, exploring lush trails that balance ample photography time with in-depth field exploration. Guided by expert mentors, you’ll sharpen your macro techniques, master fieldcraft, and discover new locations teeming with life — ensuring that every day brings fresh learning and unforgettable photographic opportunities.

He is extremely passionate about what he does and experiments continuously to polish his skillsets every time he is out in the field with his camera. He shares his knowledge of photography selflessly with people around him. His images have been appreciated and acknowledged in various online forums, articles and magazines. He is a talented photographer and has great teaching acumen. He is a Panel Expert for Team DCP, Mumbai. He uses the camera as a tool for conservation as his work generates awareness in common man about the hidden beauties of nature and earth's natural history.

The tour starts from Hubli, a well-connected Railway station. Pickup from there around 12 PM. You will be picked up from the Hubli station.

Equipment is available for rental - please mail us at rentals@dcpexpeditions.com.
We request you to reach Hubli station before 11 AM so that everyone can travel together. After a short tea and snacks break, we will start our roadways journey to Sirsi. We will travel through the scenic drive to the stay. Check in and settle down. Use the evening to relax and post dinner we will explore nearby location scouting and getting ready for the next day.

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, and get ready with your gears. We will be roaming the trail 1 and will go to a few nearby spots. We will return for lunch and after some rest in the evening we will discuss and review images. Post dinner we will go for a night trail in Trail 2.

We will get up early and go to the Trail 3. Post return, we will have our breakfast and pack our baggage and leave for the station. It will be a 3 hr journey on road. Our expedition ends here.
