After arrival, complete your check-in and take some time to relax at the property. The surrounding landscape itself offers excellent opportunities to observe macro subjects such as insects, fungi, and small reptiles.

In the evening, we will have a welcome session with the DCP mentor, where you will be introduced to macro photography techniques, safety practices, and the overall plan for the expedition.

Post dinner, we head out for our first guided night macro session, exploring nearby forest patches in search of frogs, insects, spiders, and other nocturnal subjects.

Overnight stay at Sohra

Begin early with tea/coffee before heading out for a morning macro session in nearby forest habitats. The moist conditions of Meghalaya offer ideal opportunities to photograph tree frogs, bush frogs, insects, and unique forest-floor compositions.

Return for breakfast, followed by a short rest and image review session, where the mentor will guide you on composition, lighting, and improvements.

Post lunch, we explore additional forest trails and microhabitats focusing on fungi, textures, and creative macro compositions.

After dinner, head out for an extended night macro session, targeting bioluminescent fungi, nocturnal amphibians, spiders, and reptiles.

Wake up early and prepare for a field session towards the Mawlynnong region, known not just for its scenic beauty but also for its rich leaf-litter and root-bridge ecosystems.

Spend the day exploring humid forest zones, photographing arthropods, reptiles, and amphibians in natural habitats. The unique root structures and forest textures also provide excellent opportunities for wide-angle macro storytelling.

Lunch will be arranged locally. Post-lunch, continue exploring nearby forest patches and caves for fungi, insects, and creative compositions.
