About The Tour

Located in the southern reaches of Kenya, Amboseli National Park is one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations, celebrated for its remarkable diversity of animals and breathtaking landscapes. Known as one of the best places in Africa for wildlife photography, Amboseli is home to an incredible range of species including Maasai giraffes, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and many more, making it a paradise for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike.

The park’s landscape is dominated by the towering, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, offering an unforgettable backdrop for wildlife images. Its scenic beauty extends across vast open plains, acacia woodlands, swamps, and the striking Ol Doinyo Orok massif. Amboseli is especially renowned as the best place in Africa to photograph large herds of elephants up close — an experience that draws photographers from around the world.

Birding opportunities here are equally spectacular, particularly around the lakes and swamps where hundreds of species thrive. Beyond wildlife, visitors can engage with the Maasai people and experience the rich cultural heritage of the region, all while soaking in panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.

Join DCP Expeditions’ wildlife photography tour to Amboseli National Park and capture extraordinary images of Africa’s iconic landscapes and wildlife against one of the most dramatic backdrops on Earth.
