About The Tour

Join DCP Expeditions for a unique 1 night, 2 days Birding, Landscape & Astro Photography Boot Camp at Nandur Madhyameshwar Bird Sanctuary, one of Maharashtra’s premier wetland ecosystems. Located at the confluence of the Godavari and Kadwa rivers, this Ramsar Site attracts hundreds of resident and migratory bird species every winter, making it a paradise for bird photographers and nature enthusiasts.

The expedition begins with bird photography sessions across the sanctuary’s wetlands, marshes, and grasslands, where participants can photograph waterfowl, raptors, waders, kingfishers, bee-eaters, and numerous other bird species in beautiful winter light. The serene landscapes, reflections, and dramatic skies also offer exceptional opportunities for landscape photography.

After sunset, the focus shifts to the night sky. With very little light pollution, Nandur Madhyameshwar provides ideal conditions for learning Milky Way photography, star trails, long exposures, and creative night landscapes. Participants will receive hands-on guidance from a DCP photography mentor, making this expedition suitable for both beginners and experienced photographers.

Accommodation will be in the Forest Department’s tented camp on a twin-sharing basis. The simple stay, combined with home-cooked meals and the peaceful surroundings of the sanctuary, offers an authentic nature experience.
