This specially curated masterclass is designed to provide incredible opportunities to photograph iconic Western Ghats endemics and winter migrants across habitats ranging from forested interiors to wetland ecosystems. With expert mentors by your side, you’ll explore prime birding locations such as Carambolim Lake, Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Socorro Plateau, and Chorao Island.
Expect to encounter and photograph species like Malabar Grey Hornbill, Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, Blue-capped Rock Thrush, White-bellied Woodpecker, and a variety of waders and kingfishers, all in stunning light and natural backdrops. Kane Lew, one of the finest artists in the DCP panel of experts. He is an arts graduate from Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai, and is a commercial photographer. Kane is an experienced photographer and has travelled extensively across Indian geography for several years. He has brilliant photography skills and technical knowledge in all genres of photography with a special interest in wildlife photography. He is known for his innovations and his capability of giving shape to imaginations. He has a great teaching acumen. Apart from his love for art, sculpture and music, he is a skilled trainer, trekker and a biodiversity expert. He is a Masterclass Mentor in the panel and Head of Creative Photography Division, Team DCP.

We now have an equipment support division. Equipment are available on rental - please mail us at rentals@dcpexpeditions.com.
We request to reach our camp site on your own. Please connect with our team for any assistance on the logistics. Freshen up with a welcome drink. Our expert would guide you through the entire plan for the Trip. After the room allotment process, freshen up and join the camp briefing over a cup of hot coffee. After a short discussion on the possible target species of the region and a few tips and tricks on bird photography, enjoy a delicious lunch at the camp site. You must keep your camera ready with you anytime for possible sightings within the campsite. Take some rest and join the evening birding at Tambdi Surla in Bhagwan Mahavir WLS.
The day begins early at 6.15 am with a hot cup of tea and coffee. The excitement starts with the early morning call of the Malabar Grey Hornbills. We will be doing the morning birding at Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary today. Come back to the camp site, have a lip smacking goan cuisine over a buffet lunch. Take some rest and join for the evening birding in Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. In one of the days we will also explore Tambi Surla again based on sighting reports.
The day begins early at 6.15 am with a hot cup of tea and coffee. We will checkoput in the morning and will go to the river Zuari for a boat ride today for kingfishers, terns and a variety of waders. Post the river cruise, we come to an end of our expedition and depart.
