Situated in the Eastern Himalayas of Arunachal Pradesh, Eaglenest is internationally renowned for its incredible diversity of Himalayan birds, many of which are endemic, globally threatened, or extremely difficult to photograph elsewhere.

This carefully curated expedition explores multiple elevations and habitats, beginning from the subtropical forests of Bompu and Lama Camp, continuing through the temperate forests of Tenga and Dirang, and culminating in the high-altitude landscapes of Mandala and Sela Pass. The remarkable variation in altitude allows participants to photograph an extraordinary range of bird species, from colourful laughingthrushes, babblers, and pheasants to rosefinches, finches, accentors, and high-altitude specialties.

Throughout the expedition, participants will be guided by an experienced DCP Photography Mentor along with an expert local birding guide. The focus is not only on photographing birds but also on understanding bird behaviour, anticipating movement, mastering autofocus techniques, working in dense forest light, and creating compelling avian portfolios.
