About The Tour

Embark on a 4 nights and 5 days Bird Photography Expedition to the Desert National Park in Rajasthan with DCP Expeditions, as we explore the unique avian biodiversity of India’s vast Thar Desert. This arid landscape may appear barren at first glance, but it hides a spectacular array of bird species perfectly adapted to the harsh, dry conditions.

The Desert National Park is globally renowned as one of the last remaining strongholds of the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard, offering a rare opportunity to photograph this majestic bird in its natural habitat. Alongside the bustard, the expansive dunes and grasslands come alive with raptors, sandgrouse, wheatears, larks, shrikes, and migratory species that arrive during the cooler months.

Photographers will experience the thrill of chasing light across golden dunes and capturing silhouettes against dramatic desert skies. DCP mentors will guide participants in field techniques like low-angle shooting, dynamic compositions, exposure control in high-contrast settings, and bird-in-flight photography.

Whether you’re aiming to document rare species or create powerful artistic frames of desert birds, this expedition offers a unique and enriching photographic journey into one of India’s most extraordinary ecosystems.
