About The Tour

Step into a photographer’s paradise with this 3 nights and 4 days bird photography expedition that combines the wetlands of Bharatpur, the pristine Chambal River, and a magical encounter with the Taj Mahal shrouded in morning mist. This specially curated tour is timed during peak birding season to help you capture an incredible diversity of avian species in action.

Keoladeo National Park, famously known as Bharatpur, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India’s finest bird sanctuaries. From the iconic Sarus Cranes, Bar-headed Geese, Painted Storks, to dozens of species of warblers, kingfishers, and raptors, the photographic possibilities are endless.

Next, we travel to the Chambal River Sanctuary, a haven for aquatic birds and endangered species like the Indian Skimmer, Black-bellied Tern, Gharial, and Marsh Crocodile. This unique river ecosystem provides stunning compositions with birds in flight, low-angle waterscapes, and golden hour backdrops.

The experience ends with a sunrise visit to the majestic Taj Mahal, where you’ll get an opportunity to capture one of the world’s greatest monuments under soft natural light — a perfect conclusion to this versatile photography expedition.

Join DCP mentor and fellow photography enthusiasts as you sharpen your field techniques, develop storytelling compositions, and explore one of the most rewarding birding circuits in North India.

This was my first bird photography trip. I got good learnings from Sangram and the other members in the Group. The Group was small and so the mentor could spend adequate time. Food at the accomodation was also good

It was a great experience to do the birding and photography with an expert like Sangram in a tour organised by DCP. All arrangements of travel, stay and food were excellent. Our tour mentor Sangram is a very nice human being with his expertise in photography. His caring attitude, knowledge and experience is unparallel. He is soft spoken and never gets annoyed with silly and repeated questions of the group members. I joined with my 14 years grandson. He is now fully charged for birding and photography. He learned a lot from Sangram and would like to express his gratitude towards DCP in general and Sangram in particular. We both look forward many more such trips which are like learning more new things with practical application on the spot. We also express our special thanks to the other team members for their full support.
