The Weekend Nature Photography Walk at Sunder Nursery is an ideal opportunity to sharpen your nature photography skills without leaving the city. Nestled near Humayun’s Tomb, this biodiversity hotspot is home to a stunning variety of resident and migratory birds, butterflies, dragonflies, frogs, and microfauna.

Under expert mentorship from the DCP team, participants will learn how to compose powerful wildlife images, use natural light effectively, explore creative perspectives, and capture intimate moments in nature. Mentor - DCP Delhi

Aneesh Bhasin is an Electronics Engineer by profession, but wildlife photography is where he has found his passion. He loves being outdoors, especially the mountains, and enjoys all that the Mother Nature has bestowed us with. He is a skilled wildlife photographer and loves experimenting with Macro Photography techniques. His love for this genre is mainly because of the immense biodiversity that often hides from our plain sight. He says “all you need is to get down to earth! He constantly experiments sharpening his own skills whenever he is in the field. He is a good trainer and motivates all around him to learn wildlife photography from a different perspective. Through his camera, he likes to explore, document and spread awareness about wildlife found within the cities which often goes unnoticed by the common man. He is associated with us as Mentor - Team DCP Delhi.

Things to carry:

DSLR or mirrorless camera (phone cameras welcome too)
Telephoto lens for birds and macro lens for small subjects
Fully charged batteries and extra memory cards
Water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent
Light rain cover for gear (optional)
Comfortable walking shoes

This walk will be guided by an experienced DCP wildlife photography mentor who will provide on-field tips on composition, camera settings, focusing techniques, and creative approaches. Participants will also learn:

How to tell visual stories through small, often overlooked subjects

Do I need to have a DSLR to attend this walk?

No. DSLR is not mandatory. You may attend even with your smart phone. Each participant will get the chance to try out the OM3 camera, focusing on features like its retro design, manual settings, and innovative technology.
