About The Photo Walk

Old Nashik is a fascinating tapestry of history, spirituality, architecture and everyday life. Its narrow winding lanes, traditional houses, ancient temples, colourful markets and lively riverfront create an extraordinary setting for photographers interested in documenting urban heritage and human stories.

The neighbourhoods surrounding Ramkund along the Godavari River offer a particularly rich photographic environment. Early mornings bring an interesting blend of devotional activities, local routines, street vendors and changing light, creating opportunities for candid photography and environmental portraits. During this OM SYSTEM Heritage Photo Walk, participants will explore selected streets and heritage locations around Old Nashik, discovering interesting compositions, architectural textures, human interactions and spontaneous moments.

The walk encourages photographers to observe their surroundings, experiment with perspectives and develop visual narratives that reflect the cultural identity of the old city. From intricate temple architecture and traditional doorways to expressive faces and fleeting street moments, every corner offers a potential photographic story. An experienced DCP photography mentor will accompany the group, sharing practical insights on composition, camera settings, lighting and creative approaches whenever required. More than a structured photography workshop, this is an opportunity for like-minded photography enthusiasts to explore a historic neighbourhood together, exchange ideas, share experiences and celebrate the joy of photography.
