About The Photo Walk

The Grape County Weekend Nature Photo Walk offers photographers and nature enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the rich biodiversity of the landscape around Trimbakeshwar Road through both macro and bird photography.

The combination of vegetation, open habitats, wooded patches, and seasonal biodiversity creates interesting opportunities to photograph birds as well as the fascinating smaller inhabitants of the ecosystem, including butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, spiders, insects, flowers, fungi, and other macro subjects.

During this guided morning walk, participants will learn to observe the surroundings more carefully, identify photographic opportunities, understand changing natural light, and create stronger compositions while working with subjects in their natural habitat.

Whether you are beginning your journey in nature photography or looking to improve your existing skills, this walk provides an enjoyable field learning experience combining photography, biodiversity observation, and exploration.

Why Join

This is more than just a morning nature walk. It is a guided photography experience designed to help participants develop stronger observation skills and improve their approach towards photographing both birds and smaller subjects in nature.

During the session, participants will learn practical techniques for bird and macro photography, working with natural light, creating cleaner backgrounds, improving subject isolation, understanding composition, approaching subjects responsibly, and identifying interesting photographic opportunities in natural habitats.

The walk will also provide participants with practical guidance from experienced DCP mentors while photographing under real field conditions.

Panel Expert And Consultant - Strategy Team

Sangram is a skilled wildlife photographer and a hardcore nature enthusiast. He has travelled extensively across the Indian geography photographing and documenting the magnanimous beauty of the natural history of the country in his camera. His images have been appreciated and acknowledged in various photography competitions, newspapers and Exhibitions. He has a special interest Bird photography. Sangram has done his Bachelors of Architecture from University of Pune. Apart from being a skilled photographer, he is also a talented Artist and has a great hand in painting, sketching and sculpting. He is a skilled trainer, one of the DCP Explorers and is currently associated with us as a Panel Expert and Consultant, Strategy Team.

It is a local event in Nashik. However, if you are on a passing visit to Nashik, you are most welcome to join the group. Connect with our admin team for any logistics coordination.

Getting Ready

Things to carry:

Your camera (Any camera of any make is fine)
Carry fully charged batteries for your camera / flash
Carry backup memory cards in case you run short of space
This involves considerable walking, physical fitness is essential
Carry your personal medications if you are on medication
Carry a water bottle, hat and some dry snacks / chocolates
Carry Odomos to keep you protected from mosquito bites
Carry a pair of good binoculars
Wear dull colored clothes, avoid bright colors
Smoking during the walk is strictly prohibited
Wearing masks is mandatory.
Social distancing needs to be followed.

DCP weekend photo walks act not only as an avenue for the budding wildlife photography enthusiasts to explore and refine their photography skills but also is an excellent medium for documentation of the biodiversity in and around the city life.
