About The Photo Walk

The DCP Weekend Photo Walks have been one of the flagship initiatives of DCP Expeditions since 2013. Traditionally centred around nature, biodiversity, and the green spaces within our cities, these guided walks have encouraged thousands of photography enthusiasts to slow down, observe their surroundings, and discover beauty in places often overlooked. Over the years, they have evolved into a vibrant platform for learning, exploration, and building lasting friendships with like-minded photographers.

The Dadar Flower Market Photo Walk is a special variation of this much-loved series, taking participants from the tranquillity of nature into the vibrant chaos of one of Mumbai's most iconic marketplaces. Instead of photographing birds, butterflies, and flowers in their natural habitats, this walk focuses on the people, colours, emotions, textures, and everyday stories that unfold in the bustling flower market each morning. Guided by a DCP expert, participants will learn to anticipate moments, compose compelling frames in busy environments, work with available light, and tell powerful visual stories through street and documentary photography. Pankaj Narshana is a Mumbai based full time commercial photographer.  He was interested in drawing and painting from his childhood days, he says that photography is similar to painting and drawing as these require similar levels of imagination and an eye to bring out the beauty of this world. Pankaj is a self taught photographer and his main areas of interest in this field are Travel and Street photography. This talented photographer is associated with DCP Group as a Panel Expert - Team DCP Mumbai

Getting Ready

Things to carry:

Your camera (Any camera of any make is fine) and wide angle lens
Carry fully charged batteries for your camera / flash
Carry backup memory cards in case you run short of space
Carry your personal medications if you are on medication
Carry a water bottle, hat and some dry snacks / chocolates
Smoking during the walk is strictly prohibited
