The most awaited time of the year is here again! We are delighted to announce the DCP Grand Annual Photography & Film Festival 2027, scheduled for 29th, 30th & 31st January 2027 at the prestigious Bombay Art Society, Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai.
What began in 2015 as our first-ever Grand Annual Photography Exhibition has grown into one of India’s most vibrant community-driven celebrations of photography and visual storytelling. Over the years, the festival has evolved into a unique platform bringing together photographers, filmmakers, conservationists, students, industry professionals and visual art enthusiasts under one roof.
The 2027 edition continues this journey with three exciting days of photography, films, awards, expert talks, knowledge sessions, creative conversations and, above all, the coming together of a passionate visual arts community.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT DURING THIS FESTIVAL?
The DCP Grand Annual Photography & Film Festival 2027 is designed as a celebration of creativity, passion, learning and visual storytelling.
At its heart is the Grand Annual Photography Exhibition and Awards 2027, where approximately 250 carefully curated photographs will be showcased across two galleries. Alongside the exhibition, the DCP Annual Film Festival and Film Awards 2027 will provide a platform for short films representing diverse genres and creative perspectives.
Visitors can also look forward to the launch of the Limited Edition DCP Coffee Table Book 2027, featuring all the photographs exhibited during the festival.
Completing the experience will be a thoughtfully curated programme of expert talks, special knowledge sessions, brand interactions, conservation-focused discussions and film screenings, making the festival an enriching experience for participants and visitors alike.
THE GRAND ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION AND AWARDS 2027

The exhibition will present approximately 250 carefully curated and elegantly framed photographs, printed on Epson Enhanced Matte paper in 18” x 12” format. The collection will represent the remarkable diversity of contemporary photography, spanning wildlife, travel, underwater and marine life, landscapes and astrophotography, portraits and fashion, products and food photography.
How to participate?
Submissions open from 1st October 2026.
Participants are required to email low-resolution images in 3:2 or 2:3 aspect ratio, with each file being not less than 1 MB and not more than 2.5 MB, as attachments to submissions@dcpexpeditions.com.
These files are required only for the initial screening process, and we therefore request participants not to send high-resolution files, multiple large emails, WeTransfer links or files through other large-file transfer services at this stage.
A maximum of 10 entries per person will be accepted.
Following evaluation, photographers whose images are shortlisted will be requested to submit the selected photographs as high-resolution files with the following specifications:
File Format: JPEG / TIFF
Print Size: 18” x 12” at 300 dpi
Pixel Dimensions: 5400 x 3600 pixels
Orientation: Horizontal or Vertical
Colour Profile: Adobe RGB preferred
Borders: No borders
Watermark: No watermark
DCP will undertake the printing and framing of all selected photographs to maintain consistent presentation and quality standards throughout the exhibition.

Participants may submit entries in any one or multiple categories, subject to a maximum of 10 photographs per person across all categories combined. Please note that this means 10 photographs in total, not 10 photographs per category.
Participants below 18 years of age are requested to mention their age while submitting their entries so that eligible photographs can also compete in the Young Photographer of the Year category.
Fees
There is no fee for submitting entries.
If an image is shortlisted for exhibition, a fee of ₹1500 per photograph will be charged towards pasting, framing and handling. All other expenses, including printing, venue, mounting and promotions, will be taken care of by DCP Expeditions and our sponsors.
Exhibitors are requested to collect their framed photographs at the conclusion of the exhibition.
The last date for sending entries is 31st October 2026.
Exhibition and awards
Every shortlisted photograph displayed at the exhibition will automatically qualify as a nomination for the DCP Grand Annual Photography Awards 2027.
Winners across the different categories will be recognised and honoured during the DCP Annual Awards Ceremony on 31st January 2027, at the Bombay Art Society Auditorium, Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai.
DCP ANNUAL FILM FESTIVAL AND FILM AWARDS 2027

Following its successful journey since its launch in 2025, the DCP Annual Film Festival returns in 2027 to celebrate storytelling through short films.
The festival is open to amateur and professional filmmakers, independent creators and film clubs, providing an inclusive platform for cinematic voices across genres.
How to participate?
Participants may submit up to three films per person or group by emailing private viewing links hosted on platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo to submissions@dcpexpeditions.com.
Films may be submitted under two broad categories:
Wildlife
Non-Wildlife, including fiction and non-fiction
Films created using mobile phones are welcome, provided this is clearly mentioned at the time of submission.
Films intended for conventional screening should preferably be in 16:9 aspect ratio, while films created in 9:16 vertical format will compete in the Reels category.
Duration of short-films must not be more than 10 minutes.
All submissions must be the original work of the participant, should be free of watermarks and, where the spoken language is not English, must include English subtitles.
Fees
There is no participation fee at the submission stage.
If a film is shortlisted, a fee of ₹1500 per film will be charged towards screening and handling.
Shortlisted films will form part of the DCP Annual Film Festival 2027, with nominated films scheduled for screening on 29th January 2027 from 4:00 PM onwards at the Bombay Art Society Auditorium.
Winners of the DCP Annual Film Awards 2027 will be announced and honoured during the Grand Annual Awards Ceremony on 31st January 2027.
LAUNCH OF LIMITED EDITION COFFEE TABLE BOOK 2027

One of the most awaited traditions of the festival is the launch of the DCP Coffee Table Book, and the 2027 edition continues this legacy. This limited-edition collector’s volume will feature all photographs exhibited at the DCP Grand Annual Photography & Film Festival 2027, printed on 200 GSM photo-quality paper in an elegant 39 x 29 cm hardbound format, spanning approximately 200 full-colour pages.
Available exclusively through pre-order, the DCP Coffee Table Book 2027 is more than a collection of photographs. It serves as a beautifully preserved visual archive of the exhibition, celebrating the photographers, their stories and the creative diversity represented at the festival.
