We are delighted to announce the <strong>DCP Grand Annual Photography &amp; Film Festival 2027<\/strong>, scheduled for <strong>29th, 30th &amp; 31st January 2027<\/strong> at the prestigious <strong>Bombay Art Society, Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What began in 2015 as our first-ever Grand Annual Photography Exhibition has grown into one of India\u2019s most vibrant community-driven celebrations of photography and visual storytelling. The collection will represent the remarkable diversity of contemporary photography, spanning wildlife, travel, underwater and marine life, landscapes and astrophotography, portraits and fashion, products and food photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><strong>How to participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions open from <strong>1st October 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants are required to email low-resolution images in <strong>3:2 or 2:3 aspect ratio<\/strong>, with each file being <strong>not less than 1 MB and not more than 2.5 MB<\/strong>, as attachments to <strong>submissions@dcpexpeditions.com<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These files are required only for the initial screening process, and we therefore request participants <strong>not to send high-resolution files, multiple large emails, WeTransfer links or files through other large-file transfer services at this stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A maximum of <strong>10 entries per person<\/strong> will be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following evaluation, photographers whose images are shortlisted will be requested to submit the selected photographs as high-resolution files with the following specifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>File Format:<\/strong> JPEG \/ TIFF<br><strong>Print Size:<\/strong> 18\u201d x 12\u201d at 300 dpi<br><strong>Pixel Dimensions:<\/strong> 5400 x 3600 pixels<br><strong>Orientation:<\/strong> Horizontal or Vertical<br><strong>Colour Profile:<\/strong> Adobe RGB preferred<br><strong>Borders:<\/strong> No borders<br><strong>Watermark:<\/strong> No watermark<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DCP will undertake the printing and framing of all selected photographs to maintain consistent presentation and quality standards throughout the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><strong>Categories<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Wildlife<\/strong><br>Includes mammals, birds and macro photography<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Travel<\/strong><br>Includes street, culture, heritage and festivals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Underwater and Marine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Landscapes and Astro<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Portraits and Fashion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. Products<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7. Food<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\">Participants may submit entries in any one or multiple categories, subject to a maximum of <strong>10 photographs per person across all categories combined<\/strong>. Please note that this means 10 photographs in total, not 10 photographs per category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\">Participants <strong>below 18 years of age<\/strong> are requested to mention their age while submitting their entries so that eligible photographs can also compete in the <strong>Young Photographer of the Year<\/strong> category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><strong>Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is <strong>no fee for submitting entries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If an image is shortlisted for exhibition, a fee of <strong>\u20b91500 per photograph<\/strong> will be charged towards pasting, framing and handling. All other expenses, including printing, venue, mounting and promotions, will be taken care of by <strong>DCP Expeditions and our sponsors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>Exhibitors are requested to collect their framed photographs at the conclusion of the exhibition.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every shortlisted photograph displayed at the exhibition will automatically qualify as a nomination for the <strong>DCP Grand Annual Photography Awards 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners across the different categories will be recognised and honoured during the <strong>DCP Annual Awards Ceremony on 31st January 2027<\/strong>, at the storytelling through short films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festival is open to <strong>amateur and professional filmmakers, independent creators and film clubs<\/strong>, providing an inclusive platform for cinematic voices across genres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><strong>How to participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants may submit up to <strong>three films per person or group<\/strong> by emailing private viewing links hosted on platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo to <strong>submissions@dcpexpeditions.com<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Films may be submitted under two broad categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wildlife<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Non-Wildlife<\/strong>, including fiction and non-fiction<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Films created using mobile phones are welcome, provided this is clearly mentioned at the time of submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Films intended for conventional screening should preferably be in <strong>16:9 aspect ratio<\/strong>, while films created in <strong>9:16 vertical format<\/strong> will compete in the Reels category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>Duration of short-films must not be more than 10 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All submissions must be the original work of the participant, should be free of watermarks and, where the spoken language is not English, must include <strong>English subtitles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-amber-color has-text-color\"><strong>Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is <strong>no participation fee at the submission stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a film is shortlisted, a fee of <strong>\u20b91500 per film<\/strong> will be charged towards screening and handling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shortlisted films will form part of the <strong>DCP Annual Film Festival 2027<\/strong>, with nominated films scheduled for screening on <strong>29th January 2027 from 4:00 PM onwards<\/strong> at the <strong>Bombay Art Society Auditorium<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners of the <strong>DCP Annual Film Awards 2027<\/strong> will be announced and honoured during the
