General Information

Around 100 kms away from Pune, exists a small town, also referred to as the “Bharatpur of Maharashtra”, as it hosts thousands of migratory birds during the winter. One of the major attractions of Bhigwan is the arrival of the greater flamingos with the onset of the migratory season. However, the area is studded with many other different species of birds including Herons, Cormorants, Egrets, Kingfishers, ducks, geese and many more. Most of the bird sightings happen around two places, Diksal and Kumbhargaon. DCP is organizing a very exciting bird photography camp at Bhigwan this winter.
